The SAfA 2818 Conference website was designed and is hosted by the Turkana Basin Institute (TBI).

TBI facilitates scientific research in Kenya’s Lake Turkana Basin through its two facilities on the east and west side of Lake Turkana, providing infrastructure, personnel, and logistical support to scientists working in the region.

TBI also runs a number of field education programs in the Turkana Basin. Please visit for information about our programs:
